Today has been quite eventful. I woke up thinking I had a ride to Columbus from Canton and then suddenly that was not the case. I then provided myself with a ride to Columbus and still managed to miss it. Nevertheless I have made it onto a bus on my way to Columbus once again.

Rewinding to earlier today/this weekend.

I am so grateful again for doing this tour and making my family a priority. It's nice getting to know family as an adult and respect them for who they are and not just their position in my family. This weekend I had a family reunion in Canton, OH (Intentionally aligned with the Columbus stop). I found out that my Uncle Pookie is hilarious, my cousin Peaches is a real one, and my sister is a friend I didn't realize I had.

I also spend 2 and a half hours with my 92 year old great grandmother who let me brush her hair, take pictures, watched her 'picture', and read her favorite bible verses to me. She also showed me all of these papers she writes on when she is thinking and listening to the pastors on TV. The one that stuck out the most said "Let your life speak more than your mouth." For some reason that really resonated. She was sad to see me go and kept asking when I would return. I told her I'd try to come back soon. I don't know when soon will be but I'm glad to have spent that time with her. I'm trying to find the words to really convey the overwhelming feeling of gratitude I have. Luckily, I recorded 2 hours of our conversation. Maybe I'll post it as an interview. We'll see. Anyway off to Columbus! So excited to see my mom's side of the family. Blessings on Blessings.
