My first day in my technical hometown. It's only 2:00 and I feel like I've had a full day's worth of experiences. I visited Tim Horton's and got some Grippo's for nostalgia's sake. There's something exciting and comforting about exploring the place my parents met and where I was born, now as an adult. I have half a mind to visit my elementary school but we will see. Highlights of this morning include getting a Toni Morrison book (Jazz) and a pair of cute earrings for only $15. It's only Monday and I already feel like this is going to be a great stop. I'm so excited to see what this week has in store.
Notable things about Columbus:
This city has some luxurious bus stops and libraries on almost every corner! (A slight exaggeration but hopefully the sentiment is felt.)
Later that day
I am proud to say that on this tour so far I have loved fiercely. I have not been afraid of falling (I probably have been even too trusting). Yet, I have not let the burns altar my desire to give and to learn and to love and to learn to be love and to be nothing but that. I have found love of all kinds that feel like holy rooms where we can exchange our deepest selves with one another. Absolutely no fear is present in these rooms. Only good will and complete security. I feel blessed beyond words.
