Today I woke up grateful but feeling a bit drained. I know my living situation is affecting me in ways I didn't realize it would. Yet, after some reflection, a quick clean-up, and a good talk with a friend I feel like Malikia once again. I also stumbled upon the place I came to on my first day in Detroit and I don't think that's by accident. I am reminded of the joy and excitement I had only a couple of days ago and am trying to tap into it. I am sitting here drinking some green hibiscus tea and eating a vegan crumble pastry that I immensely enjoyed on Monday. No interviews planned for today and that's a blessing. The world is once again my oyster and I'm going to take it slow today. When I first got to Detroit I felt it was reminding me of patience and so I will revisit that lesson once again. Trying to be aware of my breath, my steps, my posture, and let the day welcome me with open arms. I appreciate you Malikia.
